I just wanted to thank you for all the lovely comments that were left after my last Steady Mom post! This blog is relatively new and I get pretty excited about knowing there are people out there actually reading - so thank you - and I do hope you come back again!
I was pointed in the direction of the most beautiful You Tube video over the weekend and I do believe that watching it has given me the key to finding my place in being a mother and knowing exactly where I want my fcous to lie. Watch the video - if only because Katrina's words are so beautiful - I beleve it has changed my life. If fact I rushed over to the The Book Depository straight afterwards and purchased both of Katrina's books.
Another great thing I have found this week is "Tent Week" over at Obsessively Stitching.
I have plans to Make little Action Man his very own tent this year for Christmas. I have Very fond memories of playing in our "Cabbage Patch Kids Over Bed tents" when my sister and I were small and I want my little action man to have one too.
I already have a pattern picked out for a TeePee style tent to make for the little one but this whoe week of Tent tutorials is just awesome! Well done to Obsessively Stitching for coming up with such a great idea.
I want the tent I am making for the boy to not just be a Cubby house but also a place for him to have quiet relaxation time, a place for him to be alone if he wants to, a place for him to hide and read books in and a place to have wild adventures. I am also going to make a few floor cushions so that he can have his tent set up in the lounge area of our house and it can be his zone.
I did just have a thought however - I had better get onto it pretty soon - because at the rate sewing is happening for me lately (i.e not very much between studying for ABA counsellor training and everything else) - it is probably going to take me all year!
